The workshop on \"APPROPRIATE JOBS FOR ETHNIC MINORITY YOUTH\" is part of the REWORK project, sponsored by the British Academy, in which Phu Xuan University is the sole member representing the Central region.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The workshop aims to share the results of a two-year research project. It will be held on December 4-5, 2021 (via Zoom). Registration link: https:\/\/rework.eventbrite.co.uk\/<\/p>\n The workshop aims to share the results of a two-year research project: \"ENHANCING STATUS AND CAPACITY FOR ETHNIC MINORITY YOUTH IN VIETNAM TO REORIENT APPROPRIATE WORK IN THE FUTURE\" (REWORK PROJECT).<\/p>\n Main research topics in the REWORK project:<\/p>\n \"Appropriate jobs\" are not only a goal for sustainable development according to the United Nations but also signify creating a healthy work environment for individuals and communities to have opportunities for both physical and mental stability.<\/p>\n \"Appropriate jobs\" aim to enhance the status and empower vulnerable groups. These groups are directly affected by physical and mental health issues, poverty, and inequality. The workshop will share and discuss research results with educators, researchers, policy planners, recruiters, and students.<\/p>\n Participants can learn more about the Rework project on the \u00a0British Academy website<\/a>, \u00a0ongoing project site<\/a>,\u00a0emerging digital network on facebook<\/a>. .<\/p>\n After registration, the organizers will send the Zoom link for participation.<\/p>\n DAY 1 (WORKSHOP LANGUAGE: VIETNAMESE)<\/strong><\/p>\n DAY 2 (WORKSHOP LANGUAGE: VIETNAMESE AND ENGLISH)<\/strong><\/p>\n After registration, the organizers will send the Zoom link for participation.<\/p>\n The \u201cEmpowering Ethnic Minority Youth in Vietnam to Re-Vision the Future of Decent Work<\/strong> (REWORK)\" project, where Phu Xuan University is one of the four main partners approved by the British Academy.<\/p>\n Dr. Ho Thi Hanh Tien, the university's president,<\/strong> is a key member of the project, representing Phu Xuan University, alongside Professor Tony Wall from the University of Chester, UK, the project's managing unit; Dr. Ngo Hang Nga from Northwest University, and Dr. Luong Minh Phuong from Hanoi University. The budget for this project is \u00a3266,077 (approximately 7.5 billion VND). The project started in March 2020 and will end in December 2021.<\/p>\n The project aims to enhance the employability of ethnic minority students in economically and socially disadvantaged areas prioritized in Vietnam's economic and social development policies. REWORK is an interdisciplinary research project with breakthrough potential in improving livelihoods\/employment and social life for ethnic minority youth in Vietnam.
